The driving is done... here comes the driving...

Well we are finally in NY... I am slowly getting rid of my cold. I think by tomorrow I should be out of it... I hope! It was good sleeping last night so that is a good thing. We are all about to head in the van to the Diner and have breakfast. Grandpa is in the hospital... not sure how that is all going to go. We are driving down there after breakfast...I should drug myself up so that I don't have to sniffe in his face.

to NY

Well I am heading up to NY on friday to see my dad's side of the family... It is always a good time up there. It will also give me some time to relax. Maybe I can copy some of my TV to a HD I have and catch up on the hockey games I have missed... I need to find out of the AC converter is being brought up with...

Catching Mice...

Man I feel like a cat! I just caught two mice in my house. One had sadly died in a keep-alive trap I had set. He must have been in there for a little bit. And I found another snooping around in my garabe can. I promptly trapped him and took him over to the local middle school. He ran away quite quickly... at least he won't be in my home anymore. Make me wonder how many more there are! I definitely need to get my outside wall patched up to stop stuff like this!

Netflix...

Well I have been thinking about getting one for a while... I signed up for a trial 2 weeks and so far I have only got one movie. I do like the watch instantly option that they have and hope to watch some more tonight to see what the high picture quality is like...

I start officially paying for it tomorrow... I better get on the ball and watch!

Simpsons in HD!

I went to watch some of my recorded shows from the weekend and was surprised (and a little miffed I didn't record it on an HD channel) that The Simpsons has now gone to an HD format. When watching I could tell it was clearer and that I was missing out on the whole picture. I can't wait to see what it looks like next week with my recorder now poised to get an HD recording... I guess I could try to watch it on HULU.com but oh well...

VDay and hopes...

Well VDay was good this year... I actually had a date for once! The date was fun but, I didn't feel a spark with her at all. It was a good time in Downtown Louisville though...

I hope things keep getting better... they seem to have been getting that way over the past few years. I guess the thing to do is keep my chin and and keep going...

Bad new though... I heard that my grandpa has lung cancer yesterday. I am hoping that he is doing well and it turns out to be benign. I hope to see both my grandpa and grandma very soon...

Big Weekend

I am going on a first date this weekend (just happens to be valentine's day too!)... hopefully it will be okay. I have to make a trip of it but that is okay. I wasn't planning on doing much on Sat anyway. I feel good getting out of the house as much as I can lately! Sometimes it feels like I am trapped (literally!)...

Hockey game tonight as well... hopefully that is a good one.

Windy...

It is great when weather changes... lots of stormy weather. That is good stuff... maybe some good thunderstorms tonight. Hopefully no more damage to the house though! I found a small hole in the roof that was patched this weekend. Glad I noticed it quickly because of the recent rain...

Routine

It seems hard to get back into a routine since the ice storm... more than anything I feel like I have been doing nothing but playing catchup! Hopefully that won't last much longer and I can get to somethings I want to do like posting back here regularly... I guess the next few days will let me know if that will be a possibility.

Power is back!

It is so nice to have power back... I have been without since last Tuesday and it has been tough. But, a good thing that seemed to come out of it is that I dropped about 4 to 5 pounds! Woohoo! I have been busy recovering from Super Bowl... I had a bit too much to drink and payed for it that night and the next day. I am soo ashamed! :(

Well I am better now and have power back... maybe I can get back into a routine.
